New Huawei Mate 9 render leaked

The Huawei Mate 9 has once again been leaked in render form by Evan Blass on Twitter. The device is to be unveiled officially at an even in Munich on November 3, but the leaks just keep a-comin’, this time in a nice lilac hue.

The new render shows several sides of the upcoming flagship from Huawei, including the same dual-lens Leica Summarit H 1:2.2/27 ASPH camera array found on the Huawei P9. That means one lens for capturing grayscale and the other for RGB.

You’ll be pleased to hear that there’s also a 3.5 mm headphone port up top and USB Type-C at the bottom. The render unfortunately crops at just the wrong place, but it looks like there might be stereo speakers on the bottom, although that may well turn out to be the old twin-grills-with-only-one-speaker trick. Hopefully Huawei has learned its lesson from the Mate 8 and gone stereo.

The latest rumor mill Mate 9 specs include a 5.9-inch QHD or Full HD display, 64-bit, octa-core Kirin 960 chipset and a variety of memory options topping out at 6 GB of RAM with 256 GB of on-board storage.
