Every Nursing Student NEEDS these Apps! I use everyone and they make Nursing School so much easier! These essential apps will save you more time than most books or other resources!

Here is the five apps that I recommend:

1. NCLEX RN Mastery: This one is a must have, 10-15$
2. Nursing Care Plans: Absolute time saver, worth the money 5-10$ (sorry, this is the only iPhone only)
3. StudyBlue: Make note cards! FREE
4. Allnurses App (allnurses.com): FREE
5. Medscape: Drug Guide + More: FREE

HONORABLE MENTION: RN CRUSH (Go check it out, it’s really a great app and they make nursing fun!) www.nrsng.com or the app store for info. This app should of been in list!

OTHER App’s that didn’t make the list of apps

1. Human Anatomy Atlas (Android, iOS) (GREAT FOR PREREQUISITES)

This award-winning app is both beautiful and useful with over 3,800 three dimensional images of human anatomy and structure. It’s great for learning anatomy and built-in quizzes will help you test your knowledge of bones and muscles.

2. Med Mnemonics (Android, iOS)

Nursing school requires A LOT of terminology memorization. This awesome app has suggestions for mnemonics (fun, easy to remember word-plays) to help the data stick in your head.

3. Mini Nurse (Android)

This is a great resource for students looking to learn about many nursing school basics with definitions and practice questions from medical terminology to lung and heart sounds.

4. Nursing Essentials (Android, iOS)

This app provides easy access to nursing fundamentals that nurses find useful throughout their career. Some unique features include bookmarks, notes sections and even a medical calculator.

5. Nursing in a Flash – Med Surg Volumes I & II (Android, iOS)

This app does away with multiple choice and converts 4,700 study questions into reviewable flash cards making it easy for students to stick in a quick study session on the bus or between classes.
