It’s amoled display with oneplus specific color calibration…still don’t like pentile/diamond sub-pixel pattern. Wish oneplus had partnered with LG to build proper (RGB) oled display.

LG doesn’t have anywhere near the capacity to produce huge amounts of phone OLED displays at a reasonable quality and cost. As proven by their own product attempts.
Their PMOLED alternative requires a lot more voltage. Great for a display that is almost always off (watch without always on abilities for example), pretty useless for a phone where it will eat battery like no other with SoT that can surpass 3 hours a day.

If only it had wireless charging, SD Card slot, Stereo speakers, and was waterproof.
