What did you mean will have chance? Google is already consumer electronics company…chrome cast, pixel line, previously nexus line!

They have a OS called Android, and an ecosystem of apps and services to go with it. It’s on billions of smartphones, tablets, cars, TVs, watches, appliances, toys, and more.

They might piss off some of their Android OEMs. But I don’t see Google doing that especially if they are fair with their pricing. The Pixel devices came with high prices. However they are show casing some new technologies that are not found on any other Android devices. For instance their Daydream VR which goes beyond their Google Cardboard VR, their new camera tech that uses some of the same tech that is used in their Daydream VR. Like the new fast and accurate sensors (gyroscope and accelerometer). The new AI found in Google assist. So someone has to show it the way that Google envisioned it. So who better than yourself, so in this case Google.
