Its been on news sites for almost a week. PA is the slowest to pump out new info, because they’re too busy focusing on articles like these lol

They were too busy focusing on the Note 7. lol

As they should. Potential hazards trump ceased projects to the majority of rational thinkers.

We get it though. Thats all they have been talking about for the past month. Exploding Note 7s left and right. Time to talk about something interesting or informative.

As I have said before on here, if you don’t see some news reported on here then you should click on the «Tip Us» link at the top of the homepage and let them know.

They’re regular people just like you and me. They most likely have other jobs or studies or whatever that they do besides sit online and look up phone news. That’s why that button is there.

1. Apple NEVER announced they were working on a car!
2. They tinkered with the idea and possibly saw no benefit at this time.
3. This is PHONEArena, not CARarena! Do you see PA reporting on samsungs Refrigerator Development or LG dishwasher concepts? No! I think you forget what PA concept is to begin with.
4. The only reason Apple car should be reported on PA is if it’s somehow relevant to our smarphones.
5. Why the hell are you interested in what Apple is doing? You’re clearly hate Apple for some buthurt reason that you’re not sharing — why do you even bother?

«tinkered with the idea»

If you accept this as a fact based on rumors, then you also have to accept that those same rumors state there were over a 1000 engineers working on this project for a few years. That’s more than a little «tinkering» in my book. YMOV.

33. Unordinary (Posts: 1839; Member since: 04 Nov 2015)

Which means there are still 900 engineers working on it, since 100 got layed off.

«This is PHONEArena, not CARarena! Do you see PA reporting on samsungs Refrigerator Development or LG dishwasher concepts? No! I think you forget what PA concept is to begin with.»

PA has posted non-phone related articles before, even about Apple entering the medical field, which wasn’t related to phones.

«Why the hell are you interested in what Apple is doing? You’re clearly hate Apple for some buthurt reason that you’re not sharing — why do you even bother?»

You need to repeat that to some of your iPhone wielding brethren like that imp from the fifth dimension that constantly trolls Samsung and BlackBerry articles. Funny how you iOS guys will all bash an Android guy for trolling Apple/iOS, but become deaf and blind to when one of your own do the same exact thing to a different OEM/OS.

Hey I call them out on stupid posts. I cringe at the fact that I’m within the same fanbase as they are

31. kiko007 (Posts: 2730; Member since: 17 Feb 2016)

The same applies to Android brethren…comrades…..whatever. And there are more of those trolls than iOS trolls due to overall size. Not to mention having an extremely hostile nature towards anyone who doesn’t see Android as the second coming. I’ve been called several racial slurs, homophobic slurs, and even a heretic (I still don’t know why) because of dark web Android fanatics…..never had that happen in any Apple blog I follow. I don’t even troll Android articles, yet still deal with idiots at every corner. I guess that’s the price of overwhelming size at work. What you gain in number, you lose in reason.

Side Note: That’s not to say Apple’s ecosystem inhabitants don’t have dark web dumbasses, just fewer and less hostile. Seriously, one guy called me a «cuck» and I still have no idea what that is lol.

32. meanestgenius (Posts: 12359; Member since: 28 May 2014)

Never said it doesn’t apply to them. Hell, I’ve called out plenty of Android fanboys in my day. But the iOS fanboys can be just as trolling and hostile, even with a smaller troll-base. There are a few of ’em here now as we «speak».

How is that not related to phones? Shows your ignorance. HealthKit is pushing the envelope and posibilties in terms of studies, currently not as easy with traditional methods of putting up posters/ads and hoping people sign up. You have over a million active people now participating in Parkinsons studies and other studies because of HealthKit so easily accessible on your PHONE.

maybe because this is not Cararena. its phone arena. get in line somewhere and return your Note7. post1

Shut up techie this is a mobile tech site not a automobile site.

26. marorun (Posts: 3743; Member since: 30 Mar 2015)

Because its a cellphone website not a car one?

As much as i disagree with PA on MANY biased article this seem to be quite obvious..

Whoa.

Wait, so let me see if I can understand this.

If you use a protective skin, it can remove the lettering.
If you don’t use anything, scratches are very easy to come by.

Aside from having a case hide the beauty of it, what can one do then?

9. Fona13A (Posts: 696; Member since: 21 Jun 2016)

Buy a clear TPU case, by the way the breakdown of Silicone keeps me from wanting it anymore, it becomes tacky and rips easily if you give it enough time. That’s not to say Silicone doesn’t stand on its own.

I know the issues with TPU, but I’d rather have yellowing (or just a rugged, thick case) than have a bunch of nasty hairline scratches.

Glad I went for the matte black. Apple could’ve saved a tonne of money and gone with glass, doesn’t scratch as easily either.

The Black iPhone is the best looking one. So stealthy and sleek looking

12. Cipher007 (Posts: 23; Member since: 08 Apr 2016)

Same thing happened to my Galaxy Note 3

13. AlikMalix (Posts: 6016; Member since: 16 Jul 2014)

Wow, am I the only one that would love to debadge my iPhone completely? I would love to remove the FCC, iPhone, and Apple logo completely off the back. For the record I de-badge my cars too.

One of the worst designs chooses on android is that they put their damn logos on the front of the phones as well as on the back, coupled with carrier branding and google edition branding on some phones. I don’t need to be reminded that I’m using a Samsung every time I look at it!!!

If I had the jet black iPhone — I would go out of my way to duplicate what’s in the video to remove the damn FCC and iPhone lettering.

15. Unordinary (Posts: 1839; Member since: 04 Nov 2015)

Cant stand the huge ass SAMSUNG logo in the front of their devices. Such a turn off, as well with many other brands too. Even «VERIZON».

Ew

Get the Japanese version: no logo.
