Wonder patent! Keep the innovations comming.

Wonder if it could be used in tandem, and get stereo output, or as a woofer and satellite use. Either would be awesome.

I’d imagine it works similarly to what Unbox Therapy demoed here ( https://goo.gl/R8Etfs ), showing how anything hallow can be turned into a speaker with proper vibration…starting to think I should wait for the Note 8 if this is any indication of them improving the speaker.

Wonder if they’ll take it further and make the S-Pen capable of functioning as a wireless speaker when removed…

Speakers tend to should slightly louder with a cone in front of them or something similar to focus the vibrations. Sounds like a good idea but I don’t think it would work as well with the pen in its slot. They could probably achieve the same effect by making the phone slightly longer and giving us stereo speakers.

That’ll be awesome if they can incorporate Stereo front-facing speakers, but !’d imagine it will interfere with the home button and reduce screen to body ratio, which I really like in the Note 7 (80%+ STBR)…I think best implementation would be like what HTC has done on the HTC 10; ear piece and bottom speaker workung together.

Just do front facing speakers, it’s not that hard

Doing this won’t force them to remove physical home button and bezel capacitive keys?

Sounds like a brilliant idea. I’ve always thought that the s-pen was an opportunity to have other killer features aside writting abilities.
Samsung should even experiment with different sensors so as to see what they can achieve with the added functionality.. Anything to make the mobile space interesting right now.

Here comes the bad ass Note 8.

Can you post something that’s actually funny? The explosion thing is getting old now, so you need creativity to keep the trokes funny. That one wasn’t.

See, this would have been okay if you had said something like: «Will it be a Boomsound speaker?» You gotta have that subtlety and finesse, you know? 🙂

I think they could put a mic in there too. Could be useful for dictation as well as voice commands…
