Poll: would you buy a device like Google Home?

Google has always wanted to develop services, which collect data and deliver information to its users in a timely and useful manner. Of course, once integrated into our lives, said services also pass along a set of ads, which is how Google gets paid for its hard work. The latest product, which the search giant wants us to have in our lives, was introduced at Google I/O earlier this year and is called Google Home.

Home is a competitor to Amazon’s Echo and runs what appears to be an advanced version of the Google Assistant, which we already have in the Allo app. So, Google’s Home is a small box, which listens for your commands, and is able to help you in different ways — give you your agenda for the day while you are looking through your wardrobe, warn you of changes in your traveling conditions, control smart home appliances, do Internet searches for you, et cetera.

While there’s no confirmation that it would be launched at the October 4 event, it still should hit the market sooner or later. But we have to wonder — how does everybody feel about a Google bot in their home, constantly listening in «for commands»? Is having such a machine in the confines of your own home a bit too much, considering its usefulness?
