Pandora One is a thing of the past, as the company behind the music streaming service announced the rebranding of its paid subscription service last month. However, Pandora stated at that time that its premium service won’t be ready until later this year.
Well, it looks like it only took the company about a month to release the improved version of Pandora One, which is now called Pandora Plus. The music service is now available on mobile devices in the form of applications for Android and iOS.
If you’ve been a Pandora user, then you know that the free service comes with a few limitations, such as the fact that you’re forced to listen to ads in between songs, but you’ll also have a limited number of skips at your disposal. Additionally, the stations you’re listening to will pause after a certain amount of time.
Becoming a Pandora One subscriber would have removed advertisements completely, but it would also allow you to skip more songs and listen to your favorite station without interruptions for longer periods of time.
But Pandora Plus, the mid-priced music streaming service that now features three tiers, comes with even more new features, including the ability to skip an unlimited number of songs.
Pandora Plus allows subscribers to replay the songs they like most, but more importantly it enables music lovers to listen to their favorite stations offline. Obviously, the service is all ad-free to those who pay the $5 monthly fee.
