OneNote, Microsoft’s application that now come pre-installed on just about any Android smartphone and tablet launched on the market, has just received an important update that brings a handful of new features and improvements.
The most important is aimed at those who own smartphones with larger screens, or tablet. Android users rejoice, as OneNote now features multi-window support, which means the application now works next to other Android apps that have the similar feature integrated.
A good example would be working at the same time on a PowerPoint presentation, while taking notes on OneNote. Thanks to the multi-window support you won’t need to switch to these apps since they are both displayed on your phone’s screen.
Audio recording is another improvement that OneNote users will be able to enjoy on their Android devices. As you might have guessed, the new feature allows users to take notes by recording audio.
The newest version of OneNote for Android allows you to open sections that have been password protected on other devices.
Although these are all the changes included in this update, Microsoft confirmed plans for new features and improvements that will be added in upcoming versions of OneNote. One of these features is the ability to edit and personalize section tabs directly in the Android application.
