If these are real specs and the phones perform well. Like actual good real world performance and not OP3 6GB of RAM aggressive app management BS then yea they might stir up some trouble.

Praying this is the case.

Looks like Oneplus 3 and ZTE Axon 7 have some competition. High specs & low cost, this what the Nexus used to be. Hopefully their is some good developer support like the OnePlus 3.

Note: They also will be selling some TVs here in the US as well.

My wife is HATING her Nexus 6. All these updates have left her with the buggiest phone I’ve ever seen. I’m pretty sure this Le Max 2 is going to be her next phone. Hopefully the camera is OK.

Yea my friend has had the Nexus 6 for about a year now. He says that the camera quality has been steadily decreasing over time with each update.

Trust me UI is the worst ever. Needs a lot of work. Been using one. Camera too, pathetic HDR.

If it’s cheap it’s for a reason, nice specs on paper but let’s see how it performs in performance, display accuracy, sunlight ratio, waterproof, battery life, features.

If this is real, and they have good marketing, I think they might hit it off in the U.S. I know I’d be tempted to buy either of these devices at those prices.

I have a le Max 2. Its software is buggy and the camera is subpar. I’m pretty sure you’re all gonna be disappointed by this phone if its compared to the axon 7 or the Oneplus 3. I wish i had bought a Oneplus 3 instead but I wanted a big phone so I bought the le Max 2. I really regret my choice. I’ll have to wait till next year to get a new smartphone

They gotta fix their basics 1st, else they’ll end up starting out the ZTE way of becoming a pseudo ODM for cheap telco phones. To start with; their global website (or rather where is the proper one?). Take Le Pro 3 for example. I can see it on their online store but not a product page on their website. I’m liking it very much but being Malaysian and there’s no visible official representation of LeEco here this is more than a bit of a problem as far as initial impression goes. Maybe learn from ZTE’s way of adapting fast for Axon 7’s marketing.

And yes the other problem with these Chinese OEMs is that seemingly they’re a bit too overconfident of their in house devs and own UIs that they think it affords them the luxury of slow to no updates. Only Xiaomi’s handling of MIUI nowadays have improved on community interactions with their dual mode approach; stable and dev builds. They still suck on timely Android base changes but general MIUI fixes trickles in steadily.
