Google Pixel devices have trouble pairing with Bluetooth in cars

Owners of Google’s new Pixel devices are reportedly experiencing problems with Bluetooth in a number of vehicles. The recently released Google flagships are having trouble pairing with, and staying connected to, in-car Bluetooth, though it’s not yet known if this is a Pixel-specific problem or relates to a wider Android OS issue.

On the Pixel support community page, some users have mentioned that they can connect to Bluetooth but that it will randomly disconnect later, while others claim that Bluetooth is fully functional in some circumstances, like music playback, but that calls cause a disconnect.

It’s also said that Nexus devices running the Android 7.1 preview are experiencing similar issues, lending credence to the idea that the problem may be tied to the latest Android software , rather than certain devices.
