We recently caught a glimpse of the metallic Elephone C1 in blue and gold and were quite impressed with its slick finish. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it also manages to pack in a 5.5-inch full-HD display, a quad-core 64-bit SoC, fingerprint sensor and expandable storage for the sum total of $119.99.

That’s a remarkably low price, even in a market awash with low-costing devices out of the People’s Republic. Aside from the specs mentioned above, the C1 includes dual SIM slots and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus. There’s 16 GB of storage on board, which users can bump with a microSD card of up to 64 GB in capacity. The handset’s processor, specifically, is MediaTek’s MT6737 — a low-cost chipset with a maximum clock speed of 1.3 GHz — along with Mali T720MP (650MHz) graphics. The Elephone C1 also includes 2 gigs of RAM.

Elsewhere, the C1 runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, though it’s unclear whether Elephone’s ELE UI will run on top of that. Either way, it’s difficult to gripe a handset that offers a tidy build and feature set for just over a hundred bucks.

Available in blue and gold variants, the device includes a slick all-metal back. Check out the gallery below and if you’re interested in this cheap and seemingly quite cheerful handset, you can grab yourself a unit at the source.
