Pretty sweet looking phone. Hopefully it sells well.

This is what the Pixel should have looked like. Now it just looks like htc a9 with a glass plate on the back and weird looking camera

This is a sweet looking phone with some great, top of the line, flagship specs. Add BlackBerry’s great software and this sweet $499 price tag, and you’ve got a great handset right here.

I don’t think BlackBerry is releasing this handset on any U.S. carrier, including GSM ones, even though their unlocked handsets do support all GSM bands. And CDMA carriers don’t show much support for BlackBerry these days, anyway. Look at Verizon with their lack of updates with the PRIV.
Cue the imp from the 5th dimension and his «universally unlocked is holier than thou» schtick.

That’s why I’m a big advocate for universally unlocked phones. Much more open and more options.

Lol, right on cue. Anyway, universally unlocked won’t do much good if you can’t use all of the features that the network offers.

I’m with you on this one.

It seems to have front facing stereo speakers! Cool!

If that’s the case, awesome. Any phone with dual FFS is a huge win in my book.

They are very tiny but you can definetely see them there

Waiting on Michelle(Mxy) and Pentakitty to come trolling along. Shocked they’re not here already.

Lol, you read my mind, BobbyD.

Nothing to troll. Good phone at a decent price.
13. meanestgenius (Posts: 12069; Member since: 28 May 2014)
They’ll find a reason to troll, as usual.

You’ll find a reason to complain, as usual.

Speak of the troll, and out from under the bridge he comes.

Waiting for it to be available through the Blackberry store before getting too exited. Sooner then later please! Wish BB would’ve made it available with Nougat at release though.

I’ve heard new rumors saying that it’ll be released on the 17th of this month.

I thought this was going to be priced at $799 originally. At $499 it might do reasonably well.
17. Mxyzptlk (Posts: 13316; Member since: 21 Apr 2012)
I think it’s a bit too pricey compared to other options out there.
23. meanestgenius (Posts: 12069; Member since: 28 May 2014)
Yeah…NO. It’s priced lower than many similarly spec’d flagships out there, and offers more than some that are similarly spec’d and cost less.
BlackBerry DTEK60 now available for pre-orders in the U.S. for $499.99 from B&H
